I live in Fort Collins Colorado with my husband and three children. The love and support I receive from my family is amazing and I greatly appreciate them! I grew up in San Jose California; ironically, I did not enjoy art as a child. I did not believe I could create art or feared I might get it wrong. My love for art did not begin until I was a young adult. My education in art has evolved and began with studying fashion merchandising, fashion design, costume design, graphic design. Finally, I received my Bachelors in fine art with an emphasis in art education. Working with children, I discovered that their own sense of creativity can and unfortunately becomes damaged around kindergarten or first grade. From that point on they either believe they can create art, or they do not. It is a passion of mine to teach children that there are no mistakes. As a bonus, they inspire me and help heal my inner child. Inspiration also comes from paying attention to my intuition, working through an emotion or challenge, and staying connected with the Universe and the energy that connects us all.
