Vintage Vibes

I love sharing vintage art because it's a way to pay homage to beautiful works from the past. It's also a time capsule into the lives and loves of prior times, and a glimpse at what's different and what's the same, in our contemporary times. This collection includes some well-known classics, lesser known gems, a sprinkling of "ephemera" such as flowers mixed in with newspring, and some fresh re-interpretations or recolorized versions of older art. Some of these items are based on public domain works that are shared by various museums and public agencies. I am grateful that these entities take the time to upload and share so many pieces of art. It's especially wonderful to have collective experience of art appreciation in these trying times when some places are closed or people prefer not to go out in public.
