After over 100 years of operation on Main Street, the Sag Harbor Cinema was nearly destroyed by a fire in December, 2016. Following months of fundraising, the Sag Harbor Partnership purchased the Cinema in 2017. The 501c3 not-for-profit Sag Harbor Cinema Arts Center was created in 2017 to take charge of its rebuilding and operations. The new Sag Harbor Cinema Arts Center will restore and transform the Sag Harbor Cinema and preserve the showing of independent, foreign and documentary films, plus cinema education and outreach for people of all ages on the East End of Long Island. Your support of these products helps to ensure that the Sag Harbor Cinema serves the East End and beyond for at least the next 100 years.
