PeaceandSmiles started when Rebecca wanted something at the end of every email ~ for everyone. She uses it as a business name now, because it is a positive reminder to build connection in the world. Rebecca is a 34 year survivor of a brain stem tumor. Having gone through radiation and the humility of being laughed at for the indigo lines that were drawn on her face, Rebecca built strong empathy. When she was 8, a stranger came up to her and her mom in Joske's and handed her a delicate handkerchief with a Yellow Rose on it. It said to Rebecca, at a very young age, that strangers can make a huge difference of connection. Empathy + Connection ~ the basis behind Peace and Smiles. Rebecca has a wonderful husband and joyful, vibrant daughter who bring much joy into her life.
