100% of our profits go towards protecting Scotland's heritage The National Trust for Scotland Foundation USA was established in 2000 as a not-for-profit organization by a group of American volunteers with a passion for Scotland and a dedication to the National Trust for Scotland, which is Scotland's largest preservation and conservation charity. It protects and promotes Scotland's natural and cultural heritage for present and future generations to enjoy. The NTS cares for 129 historic properties that include: 1 World Heritage Site - St. Kilda, 16 Islands, 26 Castles and country houses, 200,000 acres of countryside, 46 Munros (mountains over 3,000 ft), 35 Gardens, 7 National nature reserves, 4 Battle sites, 72 Holiday properties, 4 Birthplaces of famous Scots, 349 miles of nature footpaths and over 50,000 artefacts. Our mission is to raise funds and increase membership in America to support these properties of historic interest and natural beauty under the care of the National Trust for Scotland (NTS). To date, over $6 million in grants have been made to the NTS by The National Trust for Scotland Foundation USA, including support for some of the most iconic sites Scotland.
