In 2013, I decided to go into business full-time and purchased business cards from an online company. The cards were very basic and conservative. As I attended several networking events, I noticed many of the same business card designs for several different companies. As a result, I found that my card didn't stand out from others or was memorable at all. In fact, I attended a marketing event and received a business card critique. I was told that my cards were boring and didn't reflect my style based on how I was dressed that day and my energy level during the conference. I was crushed. While I knew my cards were conservative, I was quite proud of them. Who wanted to be told their cards were boring? After I picked my feelings up from the floor, I became determined to find cards that better reflected my style. I happened across zazzle.com and found several designs that were exciting and spoke to me. The design I purchased was phenomenal! The cards were bright, unique, modern and stood out from others. I was ecstatic! These cards better reflected my brand! In fact, everyone I exchanged my cards with commented on the uniqueness of my card and wanted to know where I got them! In addition, I felt more confident. Clients seemed to even take me more seriously. In fact, one client told me that they liked my business card style and after going on my site, found a modern style to the services I offered. Who knew the effect of a great business card! After considering my own experience and struggle to find business cards and supplies that reflected my brand and stood out, I want to do the same for others.
