Welcome to my Zazzle store. I hope you enjoy my collection of products, including note cards featuring my oil and watercolor paintings. My artistic endeavours began at a very young age, preferring to paint and draw over other activities. As a lifelong resident of Canada, its wide-open spaces have allowed my thoughts to wander freely from my mind onto canvas or paper. What I paint is an expression of my inner self; sometimes it feels as though the subject matter itself becomes the frame that holds that internal voice. Perhaps that’s why my paintings are always so textured and painterly, without too much emphasis on detailed realism. As you browse my art—whether it’s a note card of a chickadee or a bumblebee—I truly appreciate the time you’ve taken. Sitting down to create traditional artwork seems more and more anachronistic these days, but at the same time, it offers a welcome offset to this increasingly digital-driven world.
