When I was young I was fascinated by the worlds & books by artists like Beatrix Potter and Richard Scary. Growing up on a farm I was lucky enough to be surrounded by inspiration. I began drawing animals at a very young age. I have worked as a fine artist & Illustrator now for over 25 years primarily in watercolour, gouache and oil. Together with my fondest childhood memories I explore pattern and colour through portraits of animals, from regal ewes to clumsy highland cows.
