For many years I watched my mother crochet doilies and tablecloths. I liked the rhythm and sound of the hook on the crochet thread, and wanted to have a go. Mum taught me to crochet and make my own pretty things, though I never appeared to pick up on the stitches names. Due to needing hand therapy around the beginning of the new millennium, I picked up crochet again. Determined to learn the stitch names, my own crochet journey has meant I have created many, many items. They soon fly off the hook and into the hands of one of my children... In meeting up with like minded people, I identified a need for a crochet teacher. Whether it was new people who had never tried the craft, or more experienced crocheters that were daunted by a pattern or a stitch. In helping those people, I found a love to sharing my crochet knowledge. I now organize social gatherings, meetings and workshops all based around Crochet, in my home county of Northamptonshire.
