In June of 2020 our firstborn daughter, Ella Lou Nelson, was diagnosed with Stage IV High Risk Neuroblastoma, an aggressive form of childhood cancer and the third most common pediatric cancer. After learning of her diagnosis, we decided to uproot our family from Virginia and move to Los Angeles, CA to receive care from some the top Neuroblastoma doctors in the world. Ella is receiving intense therapy over the next few years that will consist of chemotherapy, stem cell transplant, radiation, and immunotherapy. For a 2-year-old, this little warrior has already been through a lot and continues to smile through it all. Her resilience inspires us daily and wholeheartedly embodies the saying, #EllaStrong.
