Art Deco Prints Gallery

Welcome to my store featuring the art of my cousin, Rheta Gillette. Her original art was created using Lino-Block Printing, a painstaking process of carving designs into linoleum, mounted and wood, applying ink and pressing on paper. Each color had it's own block and all had to match perfectly to create the final picture. Most of Rheta's prints use a minimum of 4 colors. Many have more than that. These designs were created in the 1920's when she was putting herself through art school with the sale of her greeting cards. I hope you enjoy her work as much as I do.
