Ånnioli

As a passionate hobbyist gardener, much of my work revolves around the growing, photographing and digital retouching of floral images. Most of the floral images you will see on the site are photos of flowers that were grown in my gardens. However, the images also include photos from visits to botanical gardens around the world. There is also a lot of other digital photography, and retouched photography, from places I have visited, the city of New Orleans (where I was born and worked for a long time), and just interesting things that I see from time to time. I like to refer to the illustration portion of my work as doodles…because that’s where it starts. If you’ve ever sat through a conference call on mute, or been on hold with a customer service department, sometimes the only thing to do while you’re tied to the telephone is doodle. Of course, I don’t always have a proper sketch pad on hand, so you might find one of my original sketches penciled onto napkins, envelopes destined for the trash, shopping bags, the occasional cardboard box and the back of my hand. All of my work is created from my original sketches or my original photographs. Everything is created digitally, which allows me to have extreme freedom over the end results and a myriad of final mediums for my work. As I like to say, I do it “because I can” and the only limit to possible mediums is my imagination. Anything is possible in the digital world. Please look for Annioli on Facebook.
