William Morris
William Morris was a highly talented and prolific British textile designer, printer, artist, novelist, translator and activist associated in the British Arts and Crafts Movement. He was influential in the revival of traditional British textile arts production. His work is also heavily associated with the Art Nouveau movement. A digital image of Morris's work is made available through public domain open access, courtesy of the Chicago Institute of Art. He created his designs in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
This design are inspired by nature, with leaves, blossoms, tree branches, and buds, presented in a stylized pattern that can repeat on various home decor. This collection includes replicas of his public domain work that are made available by museums through open access, which is a wonderful program that keeps beautiful designs alive and visible on modern products. This collection also includes interpretations, such as newly my created original kaleidoscopic and mandala designs based on his original prints.
