Hello Fellow Zazzle Users, Welcome to my page, lovely to meet you all. Here's a little bit about me... From a child I have always been fascinated by nature and its natural beauty, I loved trying to find ways to preserve it by pressing plants and flowers and even by soaking them in glycerine to try and maintain them. I begun with making pictures and collages which later I developed some of these ideas into my screen printing education. I grew up on a Roman settlement which influenced my love of archaeology. I was always finding pieces of broken roman glass and pottery and Victorian china. My friends think I am a bit of a magpie for picking up found objects. I can spend hours by the coast beach combing. I studied Fine Arts in the University of Bristol. I worked in different creative places but never creating my own work but rather mass producing others. I then diverted off the art scene for a while to pursue a career working for the NHS Health Service. However last year I begun making my botanical castings and was asked by friends to sell them, having their support has given me the courage to sell my work for the first time commercially. Now I am a small business owner of Studio Green One. I specialise with casting botanicals in plaster, which fossilises the plants in time. All my work is nature inspired and I create art with other mediums such as shells and pressed flowers.
