About me: for many years, my artwork was only for friends and family, and despite the urging of everyone to sell the things I made, never did so. Just not up for the “selling” side of things and no compelling reason to do so. I had a day job, after all—I have a Ph.D. from Bryn Mawr College and I am a clinical psychologist with a thriving private practice. Then came the presidential election of 2016. It became clear real fast that every progressive, charitable organization out there was going to need every penny they could get. I made a bunch of donations myself but it nagged at me—what more could be done? It came to me in a dream one night (yes, I know that sounds cheesy, but hey, just sticking to the facts here). In this incredibly vivid dream, I set up a shop to sell my artwork with the sole purpose of giving 100% of the profit to charitable organizations. I woke up and realized that was exactly what I was going to do, and started my shop, seekingclarity, that day. The idea took off like wildfire and donations began to flow in a steady stream.
