Millions Missing Canada advocates for health care and research funding equity for Canadians living with ME (myalgic encephalomyelitis). Millions Missing Canada is a volunteer organization, with patients and carers from the ME community working collaboratively toward our common goal. We donate many, many hours of our time for the ME community, and Zazzle is a way for the ME community to contribute and be part of Millions Missing Canada's advocacy work. In Canada, 'charities' can issue tax receipts for donations. However, charities are very limited in the amount of advocacy work they can do. If they do too much advocacy they may lose their charitable status. As a result, there was a vacuum in the ME landscape, and Millions Missing Canada has stepped up to take on this advocacy role of holding our government publicly accountable for the institutional bias against Canadians living with ME. Our objectives are to stop the harm, fund the research, and start the treatment. And to do that we need to raise funds for basic things like website fees and less common expenses like travel costs.
