MACEandMAR

My family adopted our first boxer from my gymnastics coach who bred them when I was 8 years old. We fell in love with the breed and decided we want to take on the task of puppies (which we would never do again because of how many unwanted dogs there are in the shelter). She had 11 beautiful puppies, of which we kept 2 whites. All of her pups passed before she did, and we were left with just mama. And this is how we have the current two, Marlow and Maci. Marlow came to live with us after a girl decided he was no longer worth her time, or that $1,200 she spent on him, at only 9 weeks old. One of our previous boxers had just passed away, suddenly, and an old friend told us that the owner of this white cutie was going to throw him in the pound. We saw his picture and fell in love, then he became ours a couple days later. We had him through his puppy years. He was stubborn and silly, but OH SO CUTE and SMART! It was evident that he needed a friend around his age to run and play with, because our old 12 year old boxer just didn't have the energy to be his best friend. Maci was found by West Coast Boxer Rescue roaming on the streets when she was approximately 5 months old. Even with a chip, her previous owners didn't want her and told the rescue to find a new home. Within a few days of having her, we quickly realized she was timid around people and terrified of my mom and myself. Luckily, Marlow helped mold her into an amazing dog and helped to allow her to trust all of us. After having her for 2 years, she is such a great dog and we are so glad we were blessed to be chosen to adopt her. So, coming back to this shop...I enjoy art and I enjoy playing around with my computer. I made this black silhouette and shared it with those on Facebook, which so many fell in love with. So, here I am! The shop MACE and MAR is one to celebrate the love I have for boxers.
