Koa Leaf

Pam Mattys (born Pam Kubo) grew up on a cattle ranch on the Big Island of Hawaii. Bruce Mattys is from the Mainland but became obsessed with Hawaii at age 11. They met in 2000 in Portland, Oregon and were married two years later. Jobs, family, and finances kept them from moving to Hawaii, but they realized that they could practice the Hawaiian concept of "living aloha"—living in harmony with people, nature, and the land—no matter where they were. They started a website and blog (koaleaf.com) dedicated to living aloha, and they decided to expand into a lifestyle brand and business that would allow them to share their creativity and philosophy with other people from all cultures who believe in practicing the spirit of aloha.
