Mission Statement INSHALLAH CLOTHING Co.’s (Brooklyn, New York) mission is to create a lifestyle brand inspired by the challenges that exist in our world, the challenges people of all faiths and lands experience every day. Our endeavor was to create a line that is innovative at its core, sophisticated in its approach and evokes feelings of inner-city edge. INSHALLAH CLOTHING Co. is dedicated to creating fashion that is unique from inception; simple, bold detailing that is stylishly clean-cut, easy to wear, with eye-catching color ways. INSHALLAH is a brand that states the importance of expressing who you are at all times, a simple and undeniable truth we all share. Our focus is the unification of people of divergent lifestyles, cultures and beliefs through the universal language of fashion. Our target markets are Muslims and Non-Muslims. Muslims are made up of all races, ethnic backgrounds and lifestyles. But more importantly, Muslims are your neighbors, relatives and friends. We wish to reach people of any faith and belief who enjoy fashion and share a respect, love and tolerance for their fellow man, woman and child. What does Inshallah mean? INSHALLAH is an Arabic term to indicate hope for an aforementioned event to occur in the future. The phrase translates into English as "God willing" or "If it is God's will". The Company's Logo: iA Is the Abbreviation for the word Inshallah used by many young Muslims here in America and abroad. The Company's Logo: The Crown Our crown represents legitimacy, righteousness, victory over hatred, and the uniting of all kingdoms. We embody this ideal in everything we do and accomplish. The Company's Mascot: The Camel Surah 22. Al-Hajj, Verse 36: وَالْبُدْنَ جَعَلْنَاهَا لَكُم مِّن شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ لَكُمْ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ فَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا صَوَافَّ فَإِذَا وَجَبَتْ جُنُوبُهَا فَكُلُوا مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا الْقَانِعَ وَالْمُعْتَرَّ كَذَٰلِكَ سَخَّرْنَاهَا لَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ Translation: And (as for) the camels, We have made them of the signs of the religion of Allah for you; for you therein is much good; therefore mention the name of Allah on them as they stand in a row, then when they fall down eat of them and feed the poor man who is contented and the beggar; thus have We made them subservient to you, that you may be grateful. Camels are special animals of service to mankind. This is the only animal in the Qur'an that Allah mentions we should ponder on and reflect on his work (Qur’an in 88:17) - "Why do they not reflect on the camels and how they are created?" A Camel’s creation is its own miracle. The camel is not always seen as a beautiful animal. But it is absolutely perfect reflection of a creature created to withstand and survive the worst conditions presented. But it is absolutely perfect for what it needs to do and where it needs to survive. Many clothing companies use many types of animals to express their brand, ours is a vessel of our belief in ourselves and represents the struggles we’ve survived. About Inshallah Clothing Co. The founder of Inshallah Clothing Co. Lawrence "XL" Gay who is Muslim grew up with and has many friends of different faiths. Despite the differences in their lifestyles and faith their common taste in fashion, style and common sense is what brings them together. XL plans to use this same principle to create a look of fashion that is All-American with an Islamic twist, Inshallah.
