From The Heart

There’s something about Lori . . . I am creative and quirky with a very unique sense of humor thrown in for good measure. I’ve been described as kitchy, funky and probably a few other terms I may not want to admit to. I enjoy drawing, painting, photography and photo manipulation. I love creating digital illustrations using PhotoShop and Illustrator. I often combine my passion for animals with colorful pop culture themed artwork. I love designing unique cards for special occasions. What inspires me? Retro themes, beautiful colors, textures and really great photography. My earliest art influences are Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol but I love all types of art and could spend entire DAYS at the Art Institute of Chicago. What makes my world go ’round? My family and the unique innocence of the animals around me. I enjoy nature and the simple pleasures of life in the Midwest. My favorite part of day involves sitting on the front porch with my husband and my children. After a long day at work and school we wind down with good conversation and share the laughs of our daily events.
