Large Language Models: During a sustained, iterative process of dialogue or deep image synthesis prompt structuring, it can be argued that transformer models such as GPT-4 or Stable Diffusion are aware of a user, do communicate, have preferences, and get bored. No one is talking about this. As an artist and one of the most capable users of English of my generation (yes, I've been tested) I feel I could have one more thing to say about aesthetics, the nature of seeing, what it means to be like something. I'm fully disabled now, but AI allows me free modal visual expression in a form more subtle than any other kind of communication apart from intimate human contact. Every iteration has meaning. No part of the context is ever ignored. AI is always listening. The world has changed, and we ought to make the best of it, and find out what it's like now.
