Welcome to Chocolate Eternity Designs, an art store specializing in pointillist dot paintings produced by me, Dara Crawley. I've always been artistically inclined, but it was only when I took an art class in college that I realized how much I enjoy painting. For a long time I gave up on it because I thought I'd never be good enough, but I realized what mattered was the dedication to my craft and the joy it has brought me. This store will have both abstract paintings and a few rare representational ones. Everything is done by hand, usually with acrylic, India ink, or water color. The original prints (contact me to ask about custom designs or colors) usually have a variety of textures due to me using different paints and inks which gives them a textural quality. **Why Buy Chocolate Eternity Designs?** Firstly, because you want something different, but cohesive. Plenty of dot paintings exist in many forms, but the works I produce differ in how they utilize both negative and positive space to reflect how our world is both interconnected and disjointed without becoming visually overwhelming. Secondly, these designs are delicately made to ensure their overall quality and that each design is unique even in a collection.Thirdly, because you want to support a young artist of color who is passionate about giving the world something new. Chocolate Eternity? In terms of the name I chose chocolate because A) I love chocolate. It can be creamy, silky smooth, bitter, or sweet. You can put it in sauces or on meats for a savory kick, and no matter what it is good. That versatility is what I aim for my artwork to possess. B) I'm black, and while I 100% think it can be weird to constantly compare humans to food as a writer, the notion of my blackness being versatile, pleasing, and delicious (which it is) suits me just fine. Eternity refers to circles and dots of my works as well as the flowing lines. A circle is endless and goes on for eternity. Welcome.
