One morning Ethan awoke and something was off. He began his morning routine, but couldn’t quite put his finger on it. There was some lingering doubt and anxiety about getting dressed. He moved past the uneasiness and put on some clothes, but again a dull twinge came over him while brushing his teeth. It was there, staring him in the face, but he couldn’t see it. Walking to class through campus, it began to crystalize. The sounds of everyday life in Philadelphia swirled into the background and faded into the distance. Then it struck. Dizziness overtook him and he collapsed onto a bench lining the walkway. Everyone looked the same. One printed t-shirt after the next. Ethan was baffled to see a generation of individuals, creatives, and artists conform in a sea of printed t shirts. Creativity strangled. Art overlooked. Commercialism eclipsed art and he couldn’t stand for it. There had to be another way to create custom t shirts other than a predictable print. That day and from then on, Ethan resolved to fight back. Fight for creative consumption. Fight to revolutionize consumption. To create custom clothing in a new way. Ethan graduated, founded Apliiq, and moved the company to downtown Los Angeles. He started Apliiq to provide a platform for creative expression. A place where fabric is celebrated as art and clothing as a frame and where people who make clothing care as much about it as the people who wear it. A place where you can design clothing like no where else in the world. We are apliiq, a team of individuals, creatives, and artists dedicated to empowering creativity for those that aspire to create something great.
