I went to the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church and Kelly Ingram Park for my first visit for photography shoot and I found myself emerged in it. I have not been able to let it go. Its so much history there that has helped a race keep hope alive and memories of the former struggle and the daily struggle. So much was accomplished there that has made dreams and visions possible to become realities. "President Barack Obama has signed a presidential proclamation designating the Birmingham Civil Rights National Monument. The move makes Birmingham’s Civil Rights District part of the National Park System. The Congressional Gold Medal has been posthumously awarded to four girls killed in the 1963 bombing of Birmingham's 16th Street Baptist Church. "
