K.u.K - The Habsburg Monarchy

Kaiserlich und Königlich means Imperial and Royal in German, and it refers to the Court of the Habsburgs in a broader historical perspective. Some modern authors restrict its use to the Dual Monarchy of Austria-Hungary from 1867 to 1918. During that period the Habsburg monarch Franz Joseph I reigned simultaneously as the Emperor of Austria and as the King of Hungary, while the two territories were joined in a real union. This collection is dedicated to all those people who are nostalgic of an era that is now passed but not forgotten, who take pride in their origin and a culture that is passed down from generation to generation regardless of today's national borders.
