Ernst Ludwig Kirchner

Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (1880–1938) was one of the most important German Expressionist painters. He was a co-founder of “Die Brücke”, a group of prominent German expressionist artists. Die Brücke and Kirchner developed the “Brücke” style, a radical new style of painting called Expressionism, incorporating influences from Post-Impressionism, African art and Futurism.
