C. A. Gable (B.S., M.A., M.L.S.) is a professional librarian and independent scholar who, for fifteen years, has specialized in historical research relating to the assassination of President William McKinley. Gable is the founder and driving force behind McKinley Assassination Ink (mckinleydeath.com), a freely accessible online database that features an unprecedented collection of historical documents relating to the assassination (including the immediate aftermath and impact of the event, the succession of Theodore Roosevelt to the presidency, and the incarceration, trial, and execution of the assassin). This ever-growing database currently contains over 4,000 documents (textual items, photographs, illustrations, editorial cartoons) gathered from over 1,200 published sources (newspapers, magazines, journals, books, government documents) and includes seven browsing indexes. Proceeds from sales at MAI Marketplace help to support Gable's ongoing research and publishing activities.
