Hi I'm Kate! I'm a self taught artist and pattern designer from England. I set out to paint a gift for my best friends daughter. who was obsessed with hippos and ballet at the time. So I painted her a dancing hippo on canvas for her birthday. She loved it so much she wanted it on a t-shirt that she could wear to dance classes. Before I knew it all her friends wanted one too, and the idea for a business was born. Needless to say, she remains the creative director to this day!
