Póster Bar-crested antshrike

The Bar-crested antshrike is found in Colombia and Venezuela and is found at all levels of dry to humid evergreen forest and second growth scrub. Surprisingly not much is actually known about this bird, it's diet is not known in detail but it's thought to live on mainly insects, it's breeding season has not been researched fully but is thought to include March and June. Though it is not listed as endangered, in fact it's listed as 'Least concern' but their numbers are not known but believed to be stable, a bit confusing really. It's not a migratory bird, meaning it stays in its habitat all year. I've never heard of these beautiful birds until I was researching but it's still worth hanging on the wall, very pretty and goes well with some of my other beautiful birds.
