Khao Phing Kan, popularly known as James Bond Island, is a famous landmark in Phang Nga Bay, Thailand. Its nickname comes from its iconic appearance in the 1974 film 'The Man with the Golden Gun.' The island is actually a pair of karst towers, with the larger one being a large, bulbous limestone rock that leans against the smaller one, forming a distinctive, gravity-defying shape. Visitors usually reach the island by boat from either Phuket or Krabi, a scenic journey through the dramatic karst landscapes of Phang Nga Bay. The unique formation and its star turn in the film make it a popular photo stop.
