Young and Beautiful Grandma's Collection

The name speaks for itself. ====== True Grandma crochet story == related to shopping ======In one of the first summers that we traveled to Bulgaria from the United States, I went to a small store in my native town's farmers market. It was called a "boutique", and I was looking for token presents to take back to New York. There were young girls there.I noticed colorful round potholders, tied with a string, and they were 30 "leva" each which was about $ 3. It was just within my spending limit, so I decided to buy all of them. And I asked the girls who had made them, and the shop owner told me it was her grandmother who was crocheting - " when her Muse comes to her, she grabs whatever yarn she has handy and she crochets those".They were happy with my purchase, and told me a story: " We had an American come to the store and he asked how much were the potholders, and we told him, but he probably thought it was a misunderstanding, so he left 300 leva for one pair. Of course, after that we all went to a restaurant to treat ourselves to a nice dinner".I still keep the simplest of them all on my refrigerator door handle. ===== Grandma may need a new nice shopping bag to keep her yarn into.
