Who They?

Contrary to popular opinion, observation is ‘they’ is the MOST popular pronoun. Many references to ‘they’ are specific, however, other times ‘they’ can be broad, vague, inclusive, exclusive, rich, poor, old, young, male, female, human, nonhuman, kind, unkind…etc. (You can probably add many ‘They groups’ if you think about it. Who is YOUR they? What tone do you use when you ask ‘they’ questions? Do you ever curse when you refer to ‘they’? Are you concerned with linking verbs and being politically correct with your ‘they’ expressions? This one word is so widely used that it MAY just be the new ‘bad’ word used by Politicians, Patriots, Patrons, Pledgees, Participants & Peons
