Tinny = Can of Beer

"Tinny" refers to a can of beer. I'm in the UK and use the term, but someone said it was Australian slang. When I'm out walking, I always carry a tinny. My beer of choice is a nice real ale poured from cask or drawn by hand-pump from a cool cellar.
