Murder On Hamilton Ave
A different world exists for the youth of today than what was available in the 1940's where teens would socialize on the stoops of brownstone houses in the notorious Red Hook vicinity of Brooklyn New York. However the 1940s molded many young people with great ethics and the desire and struggle to advance themselves and get an education so they could pull themselves up from the difficult life which existed during the depression years.
So there is a certain romantic feeling about the place where many successful people grew up in spite of the hardships. In addition they also had their share of notorious criminals like Al Capone as well as many descendants of those emigrants who migrated here for a better life for themselves and their families. Artist Phil Bracco created this theme to point out the dangers and heartache which many children grew up with yet they still became contributing individuals to our way of life today.
