John Bauer Yule goat 1912 (Christmas)

Christmas designs inspired by a watercolor painting by Swedish fairy tale illustrator John Bauer (1882–1918). The picture (Julbocken, or The Yule goat, 1912) shows a large golden goat that is carrying an equally sack, presumably filled with gifts, and on top of that a tiny boy or perhaps a tomtenisse. In the background is a white forest, with tall snowy spruce trees. Between the trees you can glimpse the evening sky, dotted with stars.
