Burne-Jones, Wheel of fortune

Designs inspired by a painting by Edward Burne-Jones (The wheel of fortune, 1883). The picture shows a spoked wooden wheel, turned by a personification of the goddess Fortune, and three smaller mortals who are being carried around by the wheel: a slave (at the top), a king (in the middle), and a poet (at the bottom). The Wheel of Fortune is considered one of Burne-Jones's most important works.
