Ron has been painting dogs, cats and other fury friends for over a quarter of a century. From the beginning, he has given back and worked to spread the word to support our four-legged friends. It started with his “Art is Going to the Dogs” program in 1991, where he supported shelter animals, and later grew to working alongside various notable national organizations. His paintings of “Ollie” supported The Humane Society of the United States, “Cecil” to stop dog fighting, “Sirius” the bomb detection dog for the 9/11 Memorial Museum, “Woody” helps Pet Partners, “Evan” for Canine Companions for Independence, “Roselle” giving to Guide Dogs for the Blind, and his “Little Orphan Animals” characters on the Arizona Spay/Neuter license plate have all helped to raise awareness for numerous causes.
