Apollo 17 Moon Mission

The last American mission to the Moon in NASA’s Apollo program was Apollo 17. The Saturn V launch vehicle sits poised on Launch Pad 39A during the countdown with the Moon beckoning in the sky on launch date December 7, 1972. This was the sixth manned lunar landing mission.
