After years of work as a clinical psychologist specializing in trauma, I found that the effects of trauma are so widespread, and the availability of care is not meeting the demand. For this reason I am working to mobilize lay people to help people in need, and no longer find themselves feeling powerless as they watch someone deteriorate.
